Dealtree
Re-launches eBay store
and focuses business on Returns Management
Laguna Hills, CA, April 11, 2001
– Dealtree
Inc. today announced the
launch of
their new business model as a Reverse-Logistics and Liquidation Management
Service Provider. Up until recently all Dealtree business revenue came
from banner advertising on our deal-sharing bulletin board. Dealtree
was an experiment to see what sort of traffic could be generate from
people looking for deal, closeouts and liquidation - and those wanting or
willing to share coupon codes and pricing mistakes from other web
resellers.
Garry
Heath, President and founder of the Dealtree Deal-Sharing Platform
explained the change. "On April 11 Dealtree re-launched itself to
manage returned open-box electronics and computer products being sold by
e-tailers and distributors who would normally liquidate those returns at
distress prices to other dealers. Under this new business model Dealtree
will help resellers, e-tailers, distributors and manufacturers to increase
the return they can expect from open box, refurbished and even defective
products, by marketing individual items for sale through auction platforms
like eBay, Yahoo,
and other auction sites."
